Is this your husband's business?
No, I own and operate Larson's trucking myself, although I may also use laborers and/or subcontractors.
Is it Lauri Larson? Is Larson the name of your husband?
Larson is my son's name. See also question one.
Can you lift that by yourself?
Over the years I've become a pretty good judge of my strengths. If a job requires more than one person
or a second truck, I schedule accordingly.
Do you always bring your dog?
No. Sometimes Barna stays at home, or the sitter's while I work. She often pouts if she can't come to work
with me.
Do you have all your teeth?
Yes, in fact I think there are a few extra in there for good measure!
Who are the cute guys that work with you?
Huh? Where? Oh you mean Tom, Doug and Mike? They've been with me since I
started the business. Tom's handy, but won't shut up. Doug is less chatty and takes orders well! Mike, thinks he's the boss!
Do you own a truck? What!!??...
Yes, I do most of my work with a GMC full-size pick-up. For larger jobs, I'll bring a second pick-up or
a box truck.
How long have you been in business?
Since 2003.
What type of services do you offer at Larson's Trucking?
Our main service is junk removal but we have been known to do snow removal, small repairs, house sitting, small moves…….if we don’t do it we know somebody who can.
What type of junk, debris or material do you take away?
We will haul away almost all materials. A partial list includes: construction and renovation debris; yard waste; household junk;
appliances; wood; garbage or trash renters left behind; and some limited hazardous waste.
How do you charge customers and can you give me a price over the telephone?
Because pricing over the phone without seeing the job can be inaccurate, we offer a no obligation free on-site estimate for more accurate pricing. For single items we are happy to give a price over the telephone with a little bit of information from you.
How much notice do you need?
We pride ourselves on prompt service, often within the same day. Larger jobs may need to be scheduled ahead.
What areas do you service?
For smaller residential work; South Portland to Kittery. For larger clean-outs, we will consider traveling greater distances.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash, check or money orders due upon completion of job, unless prior arrangements have been negotiated.
What are your hours of operation and do you work year round?
We work around your schedule, including weekends and holidays year round.
What do you do with the items you haul away?
Most of the material we haul goes to local transfer stations and recycle centers. Whenever possible, items are donated to charity
or reuse rooms.
Do you offer light moving?
Yes, however, due to the nature of our business, our trucks are dirty and we offer light moves only
Are you insured?
We are fully insured for auto and general liability.
